Queer Britain

In 2017, BBC Three released this landmark series which shone a light across queer culture around the UK. With each episode ranging from topics such as religion (gulp) to pornography (double gulp), but with each episode never forgetting about the incredible queers who stepped forward to tell their stories.

Pulled together under the watchful eye of Series Producer Lizzie Wingham, we set out to find relatable contributors and their original stories across the UK who showed the different walks of queer life across the UK.

As a queer man I think this series will always be the crown jewel of my work in broadcast work. Still to this day so many people talk about ‘Queer Britain’ and how it was the first time they saw themselves on TV and still to this day it resonates with me. To make content which allows people to see themselves.
