What Moves Me Social Campaign

In 2019 whilst still at Just So, they won not just one, but two contracts from Olympic Channel X Toyota partnership which would of complimented 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. However Ol Covid-19 saw that the games were postponed for a year, however Just So’s campaign ‘What Moves Me’ was seen as so relevant that it still was published in July 2020.

Now sadly I only did the odd bit of edit baby sitting for the main campaign, however I worked as the creative lead on the social campaign which was aimed at gen-z. Each of the below assets was made with the mindset of ‘how can we make strong powerful athletes relatable to the day to day?’

Olympic Kickstarts

On each of the shoots with the six athletes for the main campaign we were only spared a small amount of time for anything ‘social’ related (which even included the brands internal social team), so we needed to think of an asset which could be shot simply and quickly. We soon landed on the idea of asking the athletes advice for issues and problems which are a common occurrence in not just gen-z’s life.

How do I deal with being different? How do I deal with my anxiety?

Each athlete brought their own unique energy to each of the assets whilst parting with simple but effective advice they themselves use on the day to day.

Words Of Advice

For this asset we needed to create an engaging in feed static post which allowed for a way to impart advice to gen-z. After hitting my head on a brick wall for a good while I started watching the main campaign films, where suddenly I was overwhelmed by the quotable inspirational words that were said by the athletes every other sentence. We then took some of these quotes and workshopped them over imagery of the athlete with a simple framing device (designed by James Laurel) and well, the rest is history.

Pep Talk

Everyone loves a gif! So when OC X Toyota asked for a selection of gif’s to be made we jumped at the chance. Accessible through GIPHY for messaging platforms we pulled strong moments from the main films as the visual loop with short snappy inspirational quotes overlaid to create a snackable and shareable inspiring gif.
